Operating Guidelines
Electing new Officers and Directors
- When an Officer position becomes available, due to resignation or expiration of term, the Nominating Committee shall act as the search committee for a new Officer.
- By August each year the Nominating Committee shall inform the Board the term status of each Officer and Board Member, information will include eligibility to remain on the board as an officer or as a board member.
- By November each year the Nominating Committee shall put forward a roster of candidates (to include both board officers and members) for board review and approval.
- The recruitment and nomination of new Directors and Officers shall be based on the Board Governance Policy.
Board Member Resignation
Board member resignations shall be tendered to the President of the Board or Chair of the Nonterminating Committee.
Board Composition
Board membership shall reflect the diverse composition of the community. Individuals will be selected based on their personal experiences, skills, temperament, community connections and willingness to be fully engaged with the vision and mission of the Diversity Council.
